Armstrong's dedication to its customers begins with its own employees. A stringent pre-employment program helps find the most qualified employees, who then attend at least 200 hours of training and certification programs.

Our founder, Gene Anderson started Armstrong Moving & Storage in Lubbock, Texas in 1947. His vision of providing quality service has continued for over 60 years and Armstrong has expanded to seven locations across the states of Colorado & Texas with over 150 team members.

Gene Anderson saw the early possibilities of United Van Lines, signing an agency agreement in 1947 as a charter agent. He worked diligently throughout the years to grow both United and Armstrong. Mr. Anderson was elected to the United Van Lines board of directors and served for years in numerous capacities and was the corporation’s treasurer at the time of his death in 1985.

United Van Lines renamed their excellence award to the "Gene Anderson Excellence Award" in honor of a man who always exemplified quality.This award is still bestowed upon individuals within the van line who demonstrate such a commitment to quality. We are honored to continue his legacy.

Our company is lead today by Rick and Jane Anderson. They gained valuable experiance running our El Paso office in their early years. They learned early on that satisfying the customer was the right thing to do, even though not always easy. They have worked diligently to continue Armstrong’s commitment to excellence since taking their leadership positions in 1985.

Rick, like our founder, is an active board member of Unigroup. He serves on numerous committees and subsidiary boards. During his time on the board Unigroup has grown to over a 2 billion dollar a year enterprise serving the world.

Armstrong expanded operations to Colorado in 2003, opening offices in Fort Collins and Colorado Springs. These offices along with our El Paso, Austin, Midland, Lubbock and San Antonio operations have allowed us to expand our quality service. Our solutions have expanded to include residential moving to include full logistics, self serve moving containers, and total relocation packages. Armstrong's team is ready to meet your needs.
